If you currently maintain your own website for your
business, Google has implemented some
changes of which you should be aware.
Google has decided to provide “extra protection” for
searchers by encrypting all search activity. What does this mean for your
business? Simply put, you will no longer be able to track keyword data – not
even by users who aren’t signed in to Google when they search for a product or
business.
It will make it a little harder for you to know which
keywords are working better than others, and which ones don’t seem to be
pulling any new or old business. You can still use analytic tools such as
HubSpot and Bing. If you are currently using Google’s AdWords – be sure to
connect your AdWords account to your analytics – and your data in AdWords can
be tracked.
